Channel Marketing Manager

Smartsheet is looking for a Channel Marketing Manager for Southern Europe to join the Channel Marketing team as a full-time (37.5 hours per week) employee for a period of 12 months.  

The Channel Marketing team is a globally distributed group of passionate partner marketers who provide field marketing support for partners to generate pipeline and close business with Smartsheet.  Additionally, Channel Marketing manages partner-facing communications, to- and through-partner sales and marketing content and campaign creation.  With this new role, we are seeking to help more partners in Spain, France, Italy and Portugal build pipeline with Smartsheet, with a focus on in-person and virtual event campaigns.  The manager will work closely with partners on Marketing planning, campaign design and execution and nurturing resulting leads with the objective of registering new-logo and expansion opportunities.

Job Responsibilities:

Coordinating closely with our Channel Marketing Manager responsible for other EMEA markets, the rest of the Global Channel Marketing team, EMEA Regional Marketing and EMEA Channel Sales:

  • Create bespoke Marketing plans and campaigns with Smartsheet Platinum and Gold partners in Southern Europe
  • Lead regional to-partner marketing events, delivering superior event experiences to support partner recruiting and engagement
  • Provide guidance to partners on available resources available to them under the Smartsheet Aligned channel program to generate pipeline
  • Counsel partners on best campaign fit for their target buyer personas, Smartsheet partner type and business model
  • Help partners execute selected campaign types, which could include in-person events, virtual events, account-based marketing and/or digital campaigns
  • Provide ongoing counsel on optimizing campaign results with a focus on new-logo deal registrations
  • Assist partners with campaign lead nurture, tracking, attribution and deal registration
  • Support the Channel Sales team by creating to-partner messaging and content, and organizing partner recruiting events
  • Compile and manage consolidated reporting on new-logo and expansion deals sourced via executed campaigns

Job Requirements:

  • Five to seven years of experience in field and channel marketing
  • Deep experience delivering superb-quality, in-person event experiences for partners, and for partners’ customers
  • Channel Field Marketing background, with proven track record growing partner-sourced pipeline through a broad range of campaigns including in-person and virtual events such as channel meetups, executive roundtables, lunch & learns, partner-hosted and third-party conferences
  • Understanding of partner lead nurture, and how this differs from direct marketing lead flow
  • Knowledge of MDF workflows, partner portals and the deal registration process
  • Familiarity with the IT channel as a route to market
  • Comfortable presenting to colleagues and business partners, such as on campaign best practices
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills

Strongly Preferred:

  • Proficiency in at least one of the following languages:  Spanish, French, Italian

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Impartner as a partner portal
  • Familiarity with various event platforms (ie Eventbrite, Cvent, Zoom, ON24)
