Principal Product Marketing Manager (Remote Eligible)

The Principal Product Marketing Manager - Onboarding will be responsible for developing and executing onboarding strategies that ensure new customers have a seamless and positive experience when they start their journey with Smartsheet.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product marketing and customer onboarding, with a proven ability to create and implement programs that drive customer engagement and satisfaction.

You will report to the Director, Product Marketing and can be based remotely or in our offices in Bellevue, WA (HQ).

You will manage and be responsible for: 

  • Onboarding Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive onboarding strategies that help new customers quickly realize the value of our products and services.
  • Customer Journey Mapping: Create and optimize customer journey maps to identify key touchpoints and opportunities for enhancing the onboarding experience.
  • Content Development: Oversee the creation of onboarding materials, including tutorials, guides, webinars, and videos, to support new customers in learning and using our products effectively.
  • Customer Feedback: Gather and analyze feedback from new customers to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven adjustments to onboarding processes.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product management, customer success, sales, and support teams to ensure a cohesive and integrated onboarding experience.
  • Metrics and Reporting: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to onboarding, such as time-to-value, customer engagement, and satisfaction, and report on these metrics to stakeholders.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement best practices for onboarding, staying current with industry trends and innovations to continuously enhance the customer experience.
  • Product Launches: Support product launches by creating onboarding plans and materials for new features and products.

You have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in product marketing, customer success, or related experience; a focus on onboarding highly desirable.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful onboarding programs and strategies.
  • Strong understanding of customer journey mapping and experience in creating educational content.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creative thinker with a strategic mindset and strong problem-solving skills.

Smartsheet provides a competitive base salary range for roles that may be hired in different geographic areas we are licensed to operate our business from. Actual compensation is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, level of professional, educational experience, skills, and specific candidate location. In addition, this role will be eligible for a market competitive incentive opportunity and some roles may be eligible for a RSU stock grant upon accepted offer. 

California & New York: $172,800 - $237,600. All other US States: $160,000 - $220,000.
