From keynotes to connections: ENGAGE London 2024 highlights

by The Smartsheet Team

It’s hard to believe that it’s already been a week since we gathered with our customers, partners, and colleagues for the debut of ENGAGE in London. We’re incredibly grateful to all who joined us. And we hope that everyone enjoyed themselves and learned as much about unlocking the potential of work, people, and content as we did. In case you want to catch up on the content, be sure to check out the sessions on demand

For those eager to dive into the buzz or simply want to relive some of the magic of last week, we’ve put together this post with some of our favorite moments. Without further ado, here’s a glimpse into the highlights.

Opening keynote

Smartsheet CEO takes the stage to kick off ENGAGE in London during the opening keynote.

Smartsheet CEO Mark Mader kicked off the event when he took the stage for the opening keynote. He keyed in on just how valuable time is — in our lives, in our time at Smartsheet ENGAGE in London, and even how AI in Smartsheet will help folks get the most out of their time. He went on to talk about how new Smartsheet capabilities can help teams optimise and realise their full potential, from making sure you have the right people doing the right work to setting up your teams to better collaborate asynchronously.

Another highlight was when Smartsheet VP of Product Management Miya McClain and Gregóire Martin, Senior Manager, Strategic Portfolio Management & PMO at the International Olympic Committee, took the stage. Gregóire shared how Smartsheet serves as the IOC’s single source of truth, enhancing project visibility and fostering deeper collaboration across teams. He showcased the power of Smartsheet to streamline workflows and increase capacity across its project portfolio.

Attendees were thrilled to have a first look at an exciting series of product announcements from Ben Canning, our SVP of Product Experiences. He detailed how AI innovations in Smartsheet can help you analyse data, create charts, and much more, alongside the introduction of new dashboard themes. Following Ben, Caz Brett, our Director of Product Management, showcased how Smartsheet Control Center will enable our customers to scale, highlighting the capability to manage up to 20,000 projects in order to grow alongside customer business needs.

Meaningful connections took centre stage

Attendees at Smartsheet ENGAGE in London chat over wine during the attendee reception.

After Tuesday’s full day of programming, attendees gathered for an end-of-day reception. The positive energy continued throughout both days at the Experience Hub, where visitors asked questions and shared their thoughts on all things Smartsheet. It was a fantastic space to connect with other Smartsheet users, give feedback that’ll impact the future of the platform, and chat with Smartsheet solutioning partners and staff.

The impact you made

Registrants for our London event had the opportunity to opt out of swag, and in doing so, more than 30% chose to donate to two local nonprofit organisations — Girls Who Code UK, dedicated to closing the gender gap technology, and Mind, committed to supporting individuals with mental health issues in England and Wales.

Thank you

From the aha moments to the work-life-changing product announcements plus the amazing time linking up with Smartsheet friends old and new, what a blast ENGAGE was in London! Huge thanks to everyone who came along — attendees, speakers, and sponsors — for bringing such awesome energy to our event, from near and far.
